After a search was launched for a missing Atlanta college student who vanished from her off campus apartment six days ago, the devastating news that no one wanted to hear has happened. The body of Alexis Crawford has been discovered, possibly having been murdered, reports WSBTV. CBS 46 Atlanta reporters confirms that Alexis’ boyfriend and roommate are implicated in her death, having confessed to murdering her.
Alexis Crawford, 21, was a senior at Clark Atlanta University and was allegedly last seen by her roommate on October 30 after the two went to a nearby liquor store to purchase alcohol.
After Alexis, originally from Athens, neglected to show up for class or work for two days her family reported her missing, police announced Monday.
Her mother, Tammy Crawford said she last spoke to Alexis on Wednesday October 30 and she ‘seemed to be in good spirits and was laughing’ throughout the conversation.
According to police, the suspects are Crawford’s roommate and the roommate’s boyfriend. One of the suspects led police to the body, the chief stated.
“The case has come to one of the saddest conclusions possible and has been absolutely heartbreaking,” the chief stated. “To Alexis’ family, our hearts go out to you. I am so truly sorry that we could not provide you with a better ending.”Atlanta Police Department
